Where to get 2.5 NA Diesel Tune-up and General Parts

Is there a particular place that is head and shoulders above RN or AB for these types of parts? I called RN yesterday and half the stuff wasn't in stock which is disappointing but understandable.

I need filters, belts and seals and stuff like that.

Filters and belts are not Rover specific and can be bought locally from normal sources. Oil and fuel filter cross to regular cars. The air filter crosses to a bunch of industrial equipment.

What seals are part of normal maintenance? Here in Canada, it has been found best to source from the UK directly pricing is better and shipping is cheaper and faster.

Clay, I'm going through the same thing for my 200tdi. Some inspired soul should start up a crossreference list. Failing that, paddock seems to be about the best option if you have some patience for delivery times.

yep, the local auto parts stores in these parts don't know what to do if it's not a civic or a corolla. nobody else works on their vehicles here.

You don't tell them you have a Rover, good lord... You figure out what crosses with the part and walk in knowing what you need.

So that air filter was identical but too long by 4" or so, as was the PS belt. Research continues.

Then you can't be stock Defender 200TDI. I've bought all this stuff personally.

Horizontally, nut the size of the old one compares really favorably to nrc9238 which is from a 2.5 diesel (which was originally in the truck. Rovahparts had them and the belt in stock, so we will see if the work.
