where to find steel wheels?

I am looking to buy a set of black 16x8 steel wheels (5). These things are getting hard to find. I know SG carries the rim I want, but they wanted $140 to ship 5 rims, which is a hell of alot more than I am willing to pay. I am located in eastern NC, so the closer, the better.

Thanks

Chris

Upon reading this, it looks like it should be in the wanted section. I want rims, but I am asking for help in finding them .

Made it further than half of the other guys, but the Hammers won.

How about 15x8? That extra inch is better used on rubber than steel. Got mine for about $60 each (Unique brand) and with the 33x12.5's I can't be more pleased.

I have BFG AT's and this week in some pretty deep snow, slush and rain they plowed through it all no problem. Loads of fun!

Me too

Chris - I'm looking for the same thing. Let me know if you find a source.

Art - If I went to a 15 x 8 how big of a tire could I go with stock 3.54 gears, drivetrain and a 2" OME lift?

Chris,
I just pickup my new steels rim from Marsh racing wheels, in Siloam Springs, AR at http://rockcrawler-mrt.com/, I paid 350 for 5 of them, I got 15x8 and install them yesterday. I checked out there catalog and they do make a 16x8 number 15-20168 if that helps. I can take some pics if you like. Let me know

David

Well, I have a Rockware setup (OME/Rancho 751/9207 front, 762/9012 rear) with 33" and am very pleased. I'm not a hardcore off roader so don't need to go 35". I believe you can just fit that with this setup but you'd be pushing reliability with the stock gearing/axles.

I have the SG 15x8 on my truck with 34x10.5 super swampers TSL LTB. They are the bias ply tires, which turns many off, but they are pretty good off road and VERY affordable. On road... well... let's just say I don't drive it daily

I've got an OME Lift with bilsteins. I had MD in the rear and I got some minor rubbing on the flairs by the edge of the outer lugs. I switched to HD rears and happens a lot less. I've got stock gears, although I'm switching to 4:10 very soon. The added size and weight of the swampers really slow the truck down on the highway. It was noticeable in switching to the swampers from BFG 255/85.

I just ordered 15x7's from Gulf Coast Rovers because the SG rims were used, and too out of round to balance (being swampers don't help) and with only the 10.5" width, I think the 7" rims will be fine. $35 a piece. I wish more tires were available in the 34x10.5, it's a great size.

The link I mentioned is $50 a wheel and she does custom backspacing, and has every size available. What more do you want?

I called Trek today at 3:30pm eastern time, no answer, didn't return my call. $50 rims weren't listed on site. They have a fake beadlock wheel for $65 and up listed.

Try her again. Maybe she was out. They have other wheels than the fake bead. I have owned two sets. Tell her I sent you. The web site does not have all the options that they have on there.
