Where to buy genuine LR bushes for D110?

Hello,

I will be staying in the United States for a couple of months and I am considering buying a complete set of genuine Land Rover bushes for My Defender 110 Td5 (year 2000) to take home (Argentina) with me.
Since they are relatively light (are they?) it should be easy to carry them on the plane.

Anybody knows where I could buy the bushes in the US? Roversnorth? British Pacific? I know there are not many D110's in the States but there most be someone selling the complete bush kit.

Thanks and Happy Holidays from California to everyone reading this thread!

Santiago

You just named 2 of the 3 most likely to have them.

Rovers North
British Pacific
Atlantic British

Depending on where you are in California, you can pay British Pacific a visit. But I would call all three and see what they can get for you.

check Rovers Down South also, even if sometimes it's difficult to get a quote from them.

a kit (or just a box...) with all the suspension bushes in.

Would it not just be easier to get some genuine ones sent over from the UK or europe?

Thanks for the answers!

I have already phoned British Pacific. They import AllMakes 4x4 rubber bushes, not genuine Land Rover ones.

Was told by the gentleman on the phone to try in an official LR dealerd. I will give a LR dealer a phone call and see. I am just a little bit afraid of the prices of an official LR dealer.
I will also try Atlantic Bristish and the Manhattan store as well.

Diesel_Jim,
In case I choose to go the European way, can you suggest a retailer in the UK who could provide the genuine bushes and ship them?

Anybody knows if imported stuff from the UK (like bushes for example) have to pay custom duties to get into the US? If so, +/- how much?

Cheers,
Stgo

If you export direct from a UK dealer (for anything, not just LR parts) then you don't pay the UK VAT (currently 17.5%, but raising to 20% on january 1st), but i don't know what you get stung for when the items land on your own countries shores.

I have a LR dealer about 3 miles from my house, send me the parts list you need and i can get a price for you.

This is good advice as there are problems with some of the stock bushes from the OEM. Mike will take care of you.

OK Jim. I appreciate your help.
Let me try Manhattan first (on Monday) and if it does not work (or is too expensive) I will send you a detailed list of the bushes I want.

Muchas Gracias!

Pendy,

You mentioned "....there are problems with some of the stock bushes from the OEM....".
Do you mean there are problems with the quality of the bushes or there are problems getting them?
Thanks
Stgo
