Where does this wire go ? (electrical question)

Where does this wire go ?

<attached image>

I had to rewire some PIAA lights and in the process while working only near the location in the attached image, unknowingly broke this wire loose from something. (a piece of the 'male' connector is still attached to it.)

Needless to say, the D won't start.

Fuel pump turns on, plenty of juice from 2 (new) Optima batteries, turns over but no start.

I don't think it's the PIAA lights because they're on their own wiring & battery.

If anyone can shed some light on the situation... Much appreciated.

Nicholas

Are there any wires missing from the bottom of the coil? Looks like it may be one of them.

It's a wire that runs from the other side of the engine and plugs into something.
It's a fairly 'thick' small wire.

Forgive my ignorance, but if the coil has 4 small wires & one spark plug wire plugged into it then no I don't think it was plugged in there.

My guess is that you will see an empty spade from the coil--you should really convet those all to ring connectors.
