Wheel spacers part 2

Just got a set of Terra Firma wheel spacers and I am not happy with the way the nuts screw on the threads they have a loose feel to them. As they hold the wheels on I am wary of using them.
Has anyone else used them and had the same issue ?

yes, but only found that out when we lost a wheel while driving through town
