Wheel spacers

Soooo do wheel spacers really cut turn radius that much and stabilize truck in the turns; or just the equivalent of a shiny license plate holder?

A spacer only decreases turn radius if your turning radius is limited by your tire size.

It also increases track width.

I drive an old series truck, turning was limited by the tires rubbing on the springs. A wider track on the front allowed me to get a few more degrees of turn on the front wheels.

The wider track also adds a little more stability but it's not huge unless you go for a really wide spacer. Overall it was pretty much a wash for me because I also raised the truck quite a bit at the same time as I went to a wider track.

While I've never experienced this with a Rover... I'd be cautious with wheel spacers. Some guys I race with use them on their race cars to fit wider slicks in the wheel well. Almost all of them ended up blowing wheel bearings or in my case the load actually cracked the entire hub. I know we're not talking about the same level of abuse but ever since I saw that, I've been weary of adding spacers due to the potential stress it places on the bearings and wheel assembly.
Land Rovers are by far the best looking 4x4 on the back of a flatbed...
