It's to the right of the column in my new to me 200tdi 110

It's my first diesel and first non-NAS so I'm sure I'll have tons of questions

Thanks

You're going to have to identify what wires are connected to it; it is not stock.

Yeah that's what I thought

I've been running wires all day and now I need a new tester

Nothing happens when I toggle it but then again neither do all the stock switches or the turn indicator

My guess is there is aux lamp wiring somewhere for lamps they removed; but you never know until you look.

Definitely non standard. If you don't need it and it does nothing, remove it!

Yeah but after three says in the drive I have no drips on the pavement - it might be the "act like a rover switch"

That's one long switch, are you sure it is a switch and not a hand throttle?

Have you checked the fluids?

Yeah good point!

I started on electrical since I realized some obvious issues as I was backing it in the drive and just started there as it was apparent I was going to need to order some parts and wanted to get that rolling before anything else. Have only inspected steering fluid and air cleaner - started in the front and moving back. need to check the rest next. Thanks for reminding me of the obvious!
