dagone-- I offered to help out but they never called and by the looks of it they didnt need much anyway!

Good job Doug/Raub.

Now I'm inspired to finish up my project...or one of my projects anyway.

Didn't know I had a silo issue ? Raub's photo is a bit off level, the silo isn't leaning @ all. Wish it had a domed lid like the one you linked being knocked down so I could use it for covered storage but I generally just mow around it and peacefully co-exist.

Yep, 6ft long. Bought it on govliquidation from our uncle. Three sets of lights inside, its own vac cabinet, and two guns. Even has a vibrating motor on the hoppers so media falls back to the bottom faster.

I plan on giving the cabinet an independent test and review later this summer. I will report my findings

Oh and Pedro, we need to find your cabinet a new home - I need the space!

Independent as in someone other than you.

It's a HF one. The cabinet is fine I assume but I wasn't able to get the gun working well despite having plenty of CFM available for the job. It could be the gun/nozzle or maybe needs a larger feed pipe or both, or I'm just an idiot, but regardless I haven't been able to use it and it takes up valuable space. A slanted top makes it a shit table.

I'd contact Pedro if interested in it :D

My HF Freight blaster was a frustrating waste of space till I added a desiccant drier to the line. After that it worked good, not great but good.

It may very well be moisture.

I'll admit I had intended trying it in dry conditions (IE as low humidity as possible) but haven't had time and honestly couldn't be bothered at this point. I'm going to make a trip to Uncle's and get all my blasting done in one shot while the rest of my steel is cooking in galvy.

Doug - I'm thinking you guys hold the record. I noticed the sweet blasting cabinet as well. That's awesome you got it for a good deal. We don't have very many of those types of silos around here; especially with the vegetation growing off the top. It's neat looking. If it we're me I'd lid it up and if not then I'd throw some Morning Glory seed up there I saw the empty Corona bottles on the fender and the picture of Raub with that blue square on his forehead, asked him if that was an ice pack for Corona hangover. His truck looks amazing!! Great job fellas

My HF sand blast cabinet gun sucked too... I ended up replacing the gun with a $10-15 Husky one from Home Depot and it's night and day.. I also put a little inline dryer on it too... but the new gun had the biggest impact.

Interesting. I'll have to look into that. I'd be willing to try that, even if just to help the buyer.

Thanks!
