What would you do?

I need a little advice on a defender purchase. Im looking for one to restore and would like to know if I should buy one already in good condition, or save some money and buy one that has seen more wear but has a solid frame and body? If i'm going to throw out a lot of parts no need to buy pretty ones, or does a guy have to recondition most parts? I've never restored a defender before so i'm just looking pitfalls to avoid. Also if you have a nice project 110 or 90 I'm looking to buy now so please pm me any you want to sell.
