what the hell are these for ?

brackets found on the top edge of the front/forward hoop of pickup canvas both regular and hcpu. I have asked many and to date no one can offer any idea's. I removed them as the canvas was abrading on the pin/fastner

Possibly for mounting the fume curtain for full canvas tops on military trucks? That's a complete swag, I've not seen them in place.

It appears to be some sort of drain channel.

follow up:

It's a "stop ladder bracket" could be typo on the site and mean "step ladder bracket"

Ah-makes sense. They have no use or purpose with the canvas on but with it off they become load brackets. Thanks for solving the mystery Thom.

No problem. that website has come in handy for me a few times. It looks Russian from the first look but once you get into it most of it is in English... I posted that site in the MISC section a few days ago and I guess nobody else found it interesting...

Duh, they're templates to mark the outer gauge holes on a minipod. One left. One right.

You are right. Ladder stop bracket MTC4942
So you can load long things without them sliding down the side of the truck cab.

I do not check PMs. Call or email if you need something.

ECR is not a parts source. We are not in the mail order business.
