I installed a new fan clutch last week. I ran the car for about twenty minutes after and the fan was blowing like nobody's business. Fast forward one week..I go off road to test the new suspension and the temp starts creeping up. I stop to check if the fan is blowing and it is just spinning, so slow that I stopped with my finger. Then I just figured I would let the engine cool off a little. When I started it back up the fan was fully engaged and blowing hard again, but after a couple seconds it slows back down. When the fan is working properly I can rev the engine from under the hood and feel the fan blowing hard. What do you guys think.
Sounds like someone should have gone with electric fans!
That is what I see happen everytime a clutch fan dies, it works when cold, but not when hot. Time to return it!
