What is this? Wiring behind the dash TD5

Hey does anyone know what this is behind the dash. It is similar to a relay and the gray wire is loose. Is there anyone who knows what it will connect to?

The wiring doesn't look like part of a factory harness unless someone unwrapped it. They definitely don't use crimp on's like are on that gray wire.

It has a rover logo on it so i suspect it's genuine of sorts .... given you are in the nordics it 'could' be a device to enable daylight running lights which I believe are a local market requirement.

You have better eyes than I. I enlarged that and couldn't make out that logo, only what looked like a 2012 date. His truck is pre 2008

Bit of googling found this ...

If they are DRLs then they should be wired to come on with the ignition. They should also be wired so that they go off or dim when you put your lights on. If they are within a certain distance of the indicators then they should go off or dim when that indicator flashes.

When you say it, it may seem as if the symbol shows a searchlight/ headlight
