Question What is this electrical connector?

I was under my 97 D90 and I noticed that there was an electrical connector dangling. The previous owner had recently replaced the 02 sensors and I'm hoping they didn't knock something else loose while doing that. The connector looks like it has been disconnected for a while but one would assume it should go somewhere.

Anyone know what it is? I can take another photo if this one doesn't do it. I'm holding the connector in the photo.

Hope the close up photo helps. The red striped wire looks gray/red but could be red/white but a tad dirty.

Last question is concerning location of the connector. Inside engine compartment? Below where the two rear harnesses attach before going into the frame? I'll be over at the shop Sunday and can look thru my stuff to see if I can locate the red/white or red/gray wire.

It is hanging just above where the exhaust from the 2 cats comes together to form the "Y" in the pipe. It's also right next to the little heat sheild. The photo is taken a few inches farther away - you can see the Y pipe and the connector along with other wires from the harness. Hope that helps - thanks for the help!

One thing I should mention is that I noticed that when the differential is locked the diff lock light does NOT turn on. Could this be it?

Perfect - thanks for the link. That has to be the same wire. I just need to find out where it goes now.
