What is this called?

Hi All

What is this called (and where can I buy them): The little rubber cone that goes around the exo-rollbar where it meets the safety devices cage. My D doesn't have them. I'm putting on my hard top and it seems it would be really nice if I did.

I can't find a decent picture, but have attached something that should give you an idea of what i am after.

Thanks
charles

Dunno, but I'm curious too.

What a hoot!

I just went out to the garage to double check on my roll bar how that attachment is made. When I tried to turn on my overhead light to get a better look at the inside part of the rollbar, I found that my batteries were dead as a mackerel! Probably the product of too many water crossings last weekend. I hope that doesn't turn out to be too big a deal...

Anyway, mine's a 95 and the "rubber cone" appears to be moulded in place on the bar -not something you could put on, take off, or adjust. Could this just be a design difference between the 94 and 95?

Good luck,

Rod

Happy Festivus to all!

Sounds like what I have on my '94. It can slide around though. Perhaps the rollbar was removed (for whatever reason) and the cone slid off the end.

I can tell you that it is not a part you can buy. You would need an entire new hoop which is $$$$$$

Check with good old George at RDS. Maybe he might have a line on one from a trashed truck or roll over.

Scott, thanks for the '94 confirmation. I'm missing it from both sides so not sure what the PO did.

Will do Chris. thanks.

Yeah,
I was looking at mine and it looks like its some way molded on there....I don't think you can buy that part but you may be able to...I would def. check with RDS b/c im sure LR would charge a killing for it IF they do sell it...I have never seen these for sale...
