What is biggest tire size I can get on stock rims?

I have stock alloy rims and want to go to a 12.5" x 33" tire. Will the rims accomodate these tires?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, I have 305/70R16 BFG's on NAS 110 Steel wheels right now. I think you're going to need spacers though.

Actually a 12.5" is a 317 mm wide tire.

Damn, a 305 on a steelie , i get nervous
putting a 285 on 7" rim ...

Anyway, if it works for you .

I have 285/75/16's (33" OD Good year MTR's) on stock Alloys with no lift, and they look great - but they do rub on extreme turns.. Otherwise, only an issue when parking... but GREAT offroad.

Believe me, I was skeptical at first as well. I couldn't decide between the 285 and 305, but Mike at ECR said I won't have any problems and you can put any width on the NAS Steelies, so I took his word on it and I've been very happy so far. It was a bit of a PITA mounting the tires, but I'm happy with them and everyone who sees it likes the look...

Chris' D90 has Spacer ( 30mm ) and he is running 255/85 ( already 33 ), but I will be so nerved up when airing down with that width

I just swapped 35" X 12.5" Nitto Grapplers from stock alloys to 8" Pro Comp alloys and the tire shop said they had the worst time getting the tires off the stock alloys because of the RR inner bead and the Pro Comps were a piece of cake. That says to me I probably just increased the chance I'll pop a bead, but at least I got rid of those damn spacers.
