I had a terrible time with that--had to put in a 300TDI-ZF kickdown cable.

Leftside rear most ZF oil pan bolt!

That's the correct location.

Kickdown cable is lokated at the bracket.
But needs to be relocated a little bit to the front, to be honest.

Got my TD5 light surrounds in today from Lucky8. So I went ahead and installed them along with the LED lights before dinner.

I'm really happy with how it lifts the look of the front of the 110.

I installed a set of Eric Browns SS oil cooler lines from trailhead today... They are pretty awesome.

Finished installing shocks, Koni heavy tracks. Rear needed new upper shock mounts as the threads were totally knackered. Guess someone went apeshit with the impact wrench. Luckily no rust behind mounts. Installed tires and went for celebratory ride with one of my daughters, who helped this afternoon. Noticed a knocking sound coming from the front it was a loose steering box tie bar. Bolt was loose at the panhard/chassis bracket. Tried to tighten and the bolt shaft sheared.

I'm planning on Saturday to see if tightening the front wheel bearings fixes the wobble.

I changed out the tensioner bearing. It seems that I still have a bad bearing someplace.

Installed a sweet shovel mount on the driver side wing. Then took it out for a drive and apparently I fried my starter solenoid. It had been clicking and having issues from time to time but a few turns of the key and it would start the diesel 2.5 up just fine. Not tonight. Of course it waited until I left the house. So I also just spent $185 on it. It works for two weeks, then takes a month off. Are we sure they're not French?

I had a bit of divine slack and clunk. I think this may have been the issue.

Surgery.

The Cube went under the knife; rotten crossmember was entirely cut off, along with sections of the rails affected by terminal rust - chassis was 3D scanned previously and a custom jig made - and new bolt-on crossmember is being made.

Finally!
I've been thinking about this for a whole year or more.

Once the chassis will be in shape again, mounts for the rollcage will be welded on, then the rear tub will go back in place and the rollcage dropped on.

I can't wait.

She did something for me this week for a change. Averaged 16mpg. At north of 143K miles she's still kick'n decent mpg's on regular fuel.

Took the hard top off for the first time in years. Now I remember why I haven't. Pain in the ass.

Reassembling the interior (loosely) to get it over to get an inspection sticker. Need to make a few trim panels to hide my wiring and future AC ducts.
