installed a pair of TerraFirma tree sliders on the D90. Got them with the discount @ Lucky8. Super fast shipping from NY to CA!
The box the TerraFirma sliders came in has AllMakes4x4 on it.. I can only assume TerraFirma OEM's them?
Anyways, took a good few hours to remove the original trims due to rusted retaining nuts and bolts. This is a CA truck.. I can't imagine what those would be like for trucks that see snow and lots of rain. I did get help from a small dewalt 18v impact gun (100 ftlb) for the smaller nuts and a big dewalt impact wrench (300 ftlb)to remove the bulkhead nut.
The job was made more difficult with my aux tank, not giving much room to remove bulkhead nut.... The aux tank is main reason for the sliders - help mitigate side impact, and now I also have a place to stand to access roof rack.
After removing the old stuff... the new sliders went on in about 10min each slide.

The nut needed a swivel 19mm... and the impact went at it for about a minute total before the nut got loose. Darn rust!
