Drove from Dallas to Denton in snow for school, when almost there got the notice that class was canceled, turned around and went home. Luckily the Defender was very cooperative the whole way.

Out with the old. Many thanks to Captain Dave Bobeck, Adam Check for stepping in with a helpful hand and quartermaster Dave Short.

Mounted the Hi-lift to the ARB bumper, and finally got the rear work/reverse light mounted, ready for wiring tomorrow along with a new ground cable for the winch.
next up is a dual battery system after these are completed and switch installs using the series and defender parts piece to replace the clock/hazard face plate.

That handsome lump was none other than a sporty 32 year old 2.5. It was a tough decision to break a decent survivor but I'm looking forward to experiencing the swap process. My respect and admiration for those that do this for a living has and will continue to strengthen.

after 10 years, finally got to work

took off brush bar and lights for a cleaner look, replaced all lights with LED, put on a work light (baja designs run of a carling), put on chequer plate wing protectors, put on trailhead oil cooler lines, and ditched the stock running boards for some of madcowdungbeetle's sliders (to be installed as soon as they arrive).

Bout time.
