Ordered black tdi fender decals from rovers north. Initially applied them in low light. Got it in garage later surprise they are metallic silver. Will call them monday. Doesn't look bad but not black.

Also found a decal I had for a muscle car in the past. Probably wont keep it on but its true.

I left it out in the driveway during a tornado warning and put the other two cars in the garage. lols Does that count as doing something to it?

I had the same issue. A Rovers North employee told me I didn't know what I was talking about. Nothing says "we don't want your business anymore" like giving that as an answer. Zack got me a refund and I won't order anything else from anybody else there other than Zack. J Stahl made them for me and they are perfect.

I sent Zack a pm a few days ago asking for the decals but didn't get a response. Then went direct. Guess I will try calling monday then put them on black list.

I think that is a bit of an overreaction over some stickers. If they are Genuine, they probably are packaged wrong or have superseded to a new part which is silver.

Yeah this should be an easy fix on their end. The bag part number matched invoice as "black" so maybe mis labeled.

While installing a new intercooler (3"◊9.25"◊21.5"), I found a small radiator leak. Urgh. Since the radiator has to come out, I'm going to relocate the mounting pins to move the radiator .5" toward the engine. It will be nice to have a wee bit more room between the radiator and intercooler.

So, I installed an actual plastic snow cowl. Seems like snow would be absolutely horrible in these things without. Are they overkill? Is there somethign other than this to stop one from spraying snow and mist all over the inside of your windshield (other than a weak fan)?

I remember back in the "day" about the same time my defender was made, pre-cabin filter... you'd be driving along and drifting snow, or snow left on your hood would go right onto the inside of the windshield. Miserable. I remember driving with my vents on floor heat till I had hit highway speed at least once.

After this first snow fall I am definitely going to order one... If the snow is powder like it was today it's even worse, it pretty much all goes through unless the core is hot enough to melt it..

Any recommendations on one??

Installed the freshly painted bumper, grille, and headlight bezels as well. Turned out pretty good, and this paint is really hard so it won't chip.

I'd like to get a metal one... But Apparently they were stamped out of pure gold.

I bought the cheapest one i could find... Think it was on Ebay. Theyre pretty cheaply made. Not the plastic i would choose, but they do work.
If it was for a jeep it would be 5 bucks. But there are so few defenders out there? Jeeze the metros are pushing prices stupid. Its a farm impliment rap star... Dont pay 100 grand for it.

If someone wanted to cad one up, i could start printing them. I may just make a poor mans version. Just extrude the shape upwards and make it hollow with one side open.
