Honestly when I went back to the video I saw that I might have been attacking it from the wrong direction. I started with the seat upright and facing away from me, because that's where the rail snaps together. I'd try squeezing the foam and pulling the cover down but it never moved far enough.

The guy in the video starts with the seat back sitting on the table facing up and he is able to push down firmly and rub downwards on the material and then he holds it with one hand and flips it over. Once I mimicked his motions exactly (well mirrored, I'm left handed) it went together much better.

I'm shocked such a simple hand motion made such a huge difference.

Took my D90 to get estimated at Herb's (a reputable body shop by Love Field on Mockingbird) for a rear end accident to my truck, it was minor damage to my driver's side rear corner. The guy estimated the repair at about $1000 and then said his shop couldn't do it cause they 'don't have the right tools to work on aluminum.'! See attached pic of damage.

Straighten it with a couple of blocks of wood ... and that corner piece is steel

You can straighten that out with some flat bar or angle and a couple of c clamps.

Yea... Thats not body shop damage... Order a new corner if you dont want to bother straightening. Its straighter than most ive seen as is. Rover doesnt shoot for "straight" in its bodywork anyway... See door alignment...

But yea, if there was welding or anything required, theyd have to buy equipment. But unless its torn its still just hammer and dolly and heat.

Thanks! The cheap stuff for me. It's a huge upgrade over the low back seats they put in the exMOD though.

Now that I've done it once and I know what not to do, I'd probably feel safe with something more expensive like leather, if I had something fancy like a NAS.

Finally getting my 'to-do' list whittled down in an attempt to make Winterromp '15. Changed the oil out in the swivels, tossed out the compression fitting bull shit fuel lines I made and went with Gates 3/8" rubber fuel hose. Noticed my LH wheel had rubbing marks on it's inner wall. SS brake line was poorly installed causing contact on the wheel when turning at full lock left. My 'Meep-Meep' Horn finally died, now awaiting USPS to show up with some Hella's I found on Amazon.

Ordered black tdi fender decals from rovers north. Initially applied them in low light. Got it in garage later surprise they are metallic silver. Will call them monday. Doesn't look bad but not black.

Also found a decal I had for a muscle car in the past. Probably wont keep it on but its true.

I had the same issue. A Rovers North employee told me I didn't know what I was talking about. Nothing says "we don't want your business anymore" like giving that as an answer. Zack got me a refund and I won't order anything else from anybody else there other than Zack. J Stahl made them for me and they are perfect.

I sent Zack a pm a few days ago asking for the decals but didn't get a response. Then went direct. Guess I will try calling monday then put them on black list.

I think that is a bit of an overreaction over some stickers. If they are Genuine, they probably are packaged wrong or have superseded to a new part which is silver.
