Installed a 2" lift with my wrenching buddy help this morning. Now I have to help him with lifting his mondo sized Dodge truck.

Changed all my dash lights for LEDs and did the boomslang headlight loom upgrade, impressed with the outcome 👍

Greased up everything with a zirc or a grease boot.

Threw on 1 (one) rock slider/tree rub rail. They're a bit harder to do than my jeep ones.

I have an EX MOD. That means, my side skirt dealies are not the only thing in the way. The bottom of the jerry can lockers is in the way as well the locker door. Got out my trusty cut off wheel and zinged off the bottom. Riveted the now flat steel edge to the bottom of the locker to make up for cutting off the angles.

Lined up everything best I could and bolted it up. Rock solid.. though the paint flakes off with every contact with ground or metal. No scuffing, just flakes... I can see myself having to refinish them in a year or so.
I set them up so they stick out pretty far. the rub rail is just a touch past the eyebrows. Makes getting in and out a bit easier.

Really accentuates how much the bottom of the door doesn't line up with the body panels.

My portable drill bit the dust. Its the same light duty hitachi 18v that helped with the frame off resto on my sIII 88. Lots of hours spinning a wheel and drilling out rusted bolts and rivets. A bit too much dust and metal shavings in it and running it all day took its toll. Not bad for the "consumer" grade. But it means I need a new one before doing the right side.

Also went out to the local garden center and picked up a pallet (1.1 ton) of wood fuel pellets.
Loaded that thing down... Ran into Clem... he works there and drives an 87 exmod too. He came out to say hi. His is a bit prettier than mine... mine's a lot warmer than his (pickup cap vs canvas hood). Impressed with the suspension capacity on the truck. even loaded down it wasn't on bump stops at all. Almost had to throw it in low range to climb out of the parking lot... but the suspension was good.

Installed 3.5" axle bump stops today. I like 10 minute jobs better than all day projects.

Repainted the recessed area where the headlights go and swapped out my Hella headlights with Speaker LED units. They look cool and am now anxiously waiting for the sun to set.

Got the Tickford on in record time, 35 mins. Almost waited until it was too cold and would have been a nightmare to stretch to connect snaps.

Put a makeshift headliner in my pickup cab. It came sans headliner....

couple of sticks of 8'x1/4"x1 3/4" pvc slats (4 bucks home depot) cut tem to length to bow between the slots in the front over windshield (6) and the lip above the rear window. Put a grey 4x6 down quilt from Goodwill up there. Works like a charm. Looks fairly clean for such a cheap quick fix. Noise-wise, different vehicle. WIth pressure and insulation against the big drum head that is the roof, It cuts noise in half Do the same to the hood and under the dash and it should be all but civilized.

Removed, cleaned and replaced oil pan. Drain plug leaves about 1/2 qt of goop in the bottom even when its jacked to pour better.

Put about 80:20 against it not leaking. Sure enough, this afternoon, 1 drip coming down. Slower than it was from the army, and not nearly as covered with silicone, but it'll spread.
SO, now I'm down to 2 leaks. Neither are dripping on my driveway. Transfer case ( at front output shaft housing) and rear of oil pan. Examining the area, I don't think there's much chance that the rear of the oil pan will ever be sealed for long.

I got my boost gauge, EGT and extra volt meter hooked up into the Mud Pod. Plus changed all dash lights for LED green...bloody speedo is still not good because of the stupid plastic light holders in the back...but it is much better too.

Where did you get the LED internal roof light? Is it a direct replacement for the OEM doom light?

This is the one I've used in the "warm white" color:

I've actually had mixed results with cheap LEDs from ebay...with the dome light I didn't figure it was worth saving a few bucks.
