They did everything. I took them the hardtop and left it for a week. I chose that route in case they had to grind the glass or broke it trying to fit it. If i need it replaced, it should be easy enough to get a new piece cut. My original drawing on the side of the hardtop had too small of radius. When the guy saw it, he said that he will make the radius cut a bit larger so the rubber used wont wrinkle. That's how they leak. Glad I let them take a look at it first rather than just giving them dimensions.

thats good stuff. Nothing like custom made. and... all I'm set up for is plexiglass. Maybe I'll get some of those old van windows... you know.. a crescent bubble window or something.

I'm really happy with my truck now. We're just sorting my light issues. When I put on the signals the other side flashes as well. I think there's a ground issue.

Refilled front diff and left swivel. Found that the hub bolts were loose so tightened them then drove 2 hours to my parents house. Now I need to figure out why the washer isn't spraying.

Ha ha... My mind went straight to the tightening bolts. Why isn't the washer spraying? Because you tightened the bolts.. no longer slinging grease around the washers...

But seriously. Land Rover engineers believe themselves to be physicists/gurus, which can lead to funny things happening to the rover.

SO, if nothing is leaking, nothing will leak in or out. If you're leaking oil, then your windows will leak to try to balance out the lost fluid. The window leaks should be much faster, as the water evaporates and the oil doesn't. I believe exhaust leaks will stop the whistling around the windows. gear oil leaks are responsible for bird droppings. Equivalent viscosity you see. Mud does not actually "cause" rust, it counter balances the frame and some of one or the other must flake off. You see? Try to find balance. If you're less of a chemistry/math type... try buddhism.

I didn't do it today but recently wired up the air heater(glow plug alternative on my engine) and the truck started in -4 no problem. Also went overkill with a ridiculous optima battery. It can live outside the garage now. And I fixed a loose wire on the radio that I thought was broken for the past three months.

Looks really great and makes the truck so much more drivable especially backing out of a parking spot. I just cut my sides out due to the heat down here.

While everyone else was asleep this am (jet lagged) I got up and did:

- Front Petersen LED's - I love these, had them on the RRC
- HD axle flanges

Couple hours later all is good. You can see the difference in the light from the LED's.

For anyone wanting them - go to the G&R site, bloke REJEEP - they are $360 shipped (I think that is right) Petersen LED's are just plug and play, very easy to put in and replace existing ones.

I upgraded my dash gauge lights to green LEDs from superbrightleds.com

Wow what a difference and so easy to do.

Tomorrow is replacing all the door rubber seals to assist with some leaks.
