Today was slow. Did alot of cleaning and fixing grounds now the the hole is empty. If the weather holds, the hole will get cleaned and painted tomoro. The paint came in today and the winch got redone with the synthetic line. All the vents are now in one place and the harness is MUCH better than before. The pics I took on my phone must have been after all the crap blowing on it. I will get better ones tomoro. I am really impressed how the aluminum shines up.
This is the only pic thats worth a crap to post...
The orange glow is my shirt......

Shit canned the 200tdi exhaust I hAd cobbled together and got 2.5 inch stainless exhaust, less ribrations, sounds better and has a bit more power. It now just has a small muffler.

Swapped out my 10 spline, drum brake rear axle with a 24 spline, disc brake rear axle.
Funny how it takes 3 hours to take the old stuff off and an hour to install the new stuff.
It's also funny that an angle grinder becomes an invaluable wrench for removing rusted parts on so many Rover projects.

Rebuilt the LH front caliper, refurbed the swivel housing, painted everything, installed the new swivel ball, couldn't find the snap rings for the new CV's so I moved on to other things. Removed the RH trailing link and replaced both bushings, started removing the FOX shocks for rebuilding. Now off for a run and yet another memorial day BBQ.

Nice. We need to discuss offline. I'd like to check out the location of those falls.
Always enjoy your food pics for inspiration, Mr. Gourmet. Very nice. My capacity is limited to sausages and beans on the Jetboil, but with better beer (FatTire). ;-).

I can't take credit for the food on this trip. My buddy Allen made the pot roast in the dutch oven. I definitely need to get one! I can't find any of my camp kitchen stuff, but I'm looking into getting some stuff in the near future.

Well....its ready to go back together. If everything goes right Margret will be back on the road Wednesday. It will be a long couple of days getting stuff right.

And why it keeps posting pics upside down is beyond me.

That has to be the nicest looking 2.5 NA on the planet. Let's hope she runs as good as she looks.

Got her pulled out out of the shop today to get some sun. She was looking a little pale. Motor compartment got a good cleaning with ez off and degreaser. Hope to get her back in the shop and finish the hole so the motor can get dropped in Wednesday afternoon.
First things first.....the wife says I have to mow the yard before playing with my truck.......

Looks good Paul. They can be a pain...sometimes.

The hole is painted and all is as tidided up as it can be until the motor goes back in. I will be putting the final stuff on the motor today and be ready to slide it in Thursday afternoon. Before I put the motor in I am going to put on the "new to me" front skid plate.
I will get some good pics this after noon and get them up.

Yeah, it's about 45 minutes from me as well. Looks like Jimmy's was an invite-only outing...
