You'll need to re-shim them. One of my favourite jobs

Removed brush bar, light bar and bumper - gonna take them to get powder coated later in the week. Next weekend might attack the rear bumper and roll cage.

The M635 was also a casualty of my diminished free time and lack of garage. I got an offer I couldn't refuse and it went to a museum in Austria. Not too many euro-spec e24's were delivered in CA, so it was rust free compared to all the unrestored examples over here.

Installed LED VW Rabbit turn signals in the ARB. Very simple splice, solder, extend and re-connect. Bought the lights on eBay.

I changed the fluids in the diffs and transfer box today. I also determined that the check engine light and oil pressure light are inop, and not because of the bulbs. I also determined that whoever did the auto swap (overall a pretty good job) did not wire the transmission to the ECM, which causes an idle fluctuation when in drive. A nice thing I discovered was a galvanised bulkhead. I also washed off 3k miles of dirt and salt from around the country.

Ordered new Hella lights for Defender 130, due to breaking the old one the mount broke + they not that bright. got new Boost alloys set of 5 now looking at rubber... any thoughts I've been looking at MTX wild country 285/75/16 or cooper stt I want road and good off im running cooper st now But want a more aggressive look + winter driving is a must. the MTX is stud-able.
