Yep. I thought it would be easier to remove the zinc than remove and reattach the screen. Not sure if that was a wise decision.

I know some locals were interested in my experience with the galvanizers. Ill post a report later once I've gone though everything ( I had 80 individual items dipped).

Easy to fix with compressed air and a torch.

Mind you don't melt the mesh too
Probably easier to have drilled out the pop rivets first off.

well...I gotta tell ya..I'm

terribly handicapped by my shade-tree mechanic skills (or lack thereof) lack of proper tools, etc..

BUT....!

1. Pulled PS reservoir (small annoying drip) completely cleaned reservoir, hoses, clamps etc. reconnected, tightened, no more drip and looks factory fresh!

2. Pulled Tuffy (the one I'm selling or trading) gave the entire area a complete D&C. Ready for new mat, carpet, etc when I get around to it.

3. Installed new bulb for clock, new fasteners for gray vent thing, new retainers for brake lines under hood. (thanks Les at Rovers North)

4. Started the Zaino process. (having it professionally buffed first)

Now on to adult beverage(s)!!

Replacing my 2.5td with a 200tdi that I brought from a board member. I can't wait for it to arrive. Here's a photo of the engine located in Ohio. Thanks to Jeff and Kraig for all your help.

Got my over head terrafirma console installed and finally a radio. Unfortunately I noticed that the water pump is leaking coolant....

I diagnosed my front diff is dying... Getting a vibe and rumble from the front. Though UJ's but the look good and no visible slop, noticed a lot of slop in the front diff. Opened the plug up and plenty of heavy metal flake gear lube....

Hopefully a 10 spline RRC diff will swap over.

This is your big chance for 24 spline conversion! Easier to find a disco front diff. That's what I put in. If you want to stay 10 spline you can hv mine free. Just pay shipping.
