New crossmember

New crossmember plus new fuel pump, all new lines.. No, I didn't do it, but pretty good price from Independent British in Bethesda. Thanks to Jason for the recommendation and Paul for the crossmember. Also, I installed new cubby top and finally pulled all the jump seats. Started installing Clay's famous swing-away carrier..

Looks good! Get that step bumper re-powdercoated to really finish off the back end.

Exactly, it's on my list.

It looks awesome, even after sitting in my garage for 6+ months. Or longer.

Very nice. Did you have to cut the old one off and weld the new one on?

Yup, plus the tank sides were rusted through and had to be replaced. 11 hours of labor time overall, which was not bad price-wise.

I picked up a RTT last weekend and installed it on the Front Runner rack today. I've been wanting to try one out without spending too much $ and a local Rover club member pretty much gave one away. It's a 10 year old Oasis tent that I picked up for $150 including rain cover, storage cover and aluminum ladder. At 38 lbs is an easy install by one person.

If your just trying it out, why bother even mounting it on the truck.

The PO went bananas with the water proofing spray hence the frosted appearance. It's an antique but will do just fine for now. I am really tempted to design and build one as I would like a super low profile and super light tent using more modern materials. If I could only find a way to get my Hilleberg up there I'd be all set.

In preparation for my move back to NYC I need to get the boosts looking up to snuff. Also dropping off a full Mini load of other random defender stuff for powder coating.

I am getting an light upgrade. We took the lights off the bumpers and placed them on the top of the truck and put bigger lights on the bumper. We're also putting a new starter.

Finally fixed my annoying rear brake light. Also dropped off my new rear ladder to be painted. Hoping to have the SD rack/crossbars and ladder mounted in time for Maine Winter Romp!

I'm not down for the drive up to Main. However, I'm thinking about it.

Also, I didn't put on my ARB compressor as of yet. All of this I have to do before I tackle the snow up in Maine.

I put a starter on it in the Brigade Headquarters parking lot. It was a wonderful place to work. 20 degree's out snowing and wind gusting up to 25mph. I froze my ass off.

The 110 is back on the road though so all is right in the world.

WOW!
Tomorrow my mechanic (uncle) will be installing my new starter. I paid a total of 105 for the starter which was by far cheaper than every company that I've priced including the 3 day shipping from the UK. If I'd known that you work that good under such conditions I would have towed my car to you (lol). Good job mate.

Repaired winch yesterday and got the truck running with the NJLR crew. Rough but running! Now it's back inside the warm garage before this snow storm tomorrow.
