Finding one that had the upgrade chip in it was a great find. (and for only a couple hundred $$, it was a no brainer)

Plugged it in, copied and transferred over the injector codes with Autologic, little playing around with the 10AS security settings, and done.

Amazing change! No more sluggish low rpm drag, the turbo is much more noticeable, (actually pushes you back into the seat a bit). Highway pull is fantastic, being able to pull up some long highway hills and stay in 5th gear, and pass people is a treat.

Next up, EGT gauge, uprated Allisport exhaust manifold (along with studs) and intercooler.
I just pulled out my dead 10p and replaced with a 15p last Thursday. Previous 10p didnt have the ecu corrected for jumpiness from factory. Now its a 15p with an NNN with no chip, but off a d2 so there is some extra power. Its a totally different truck now, I can pull off and climb on 2nd, low rpms dont jerk around anymore and i don't need to ride the clutch anymore for low rev power!
Now you've made me wanna chip it too!
Td5's can be fun when they do run well!

Wait, what? You put an NNN ECU in a 10P just like that?? I mean like put it in and copy injectors and you're done? NNN are so much less expensive than the older MSU... and flashable!

TJ Rubicon with dead starter. Owner asks for help. At least it was a stick shift. He had one of those cheesy tow straps with open hooks. Wrapped that around my pintle and got him started with a quick tug.
God those auto zone straps are cheesy. Makes me appreciate good recovery gear even more.
He's off to the 'zone for a new starter.

Shiny new Ashcroft 1.003 LT230 is in!

5 new 255/85R16 KM2 waiting at shop to be mounted, spun, shaved, and balanced
Fuel leak fixed
R380 leak fixed

Magic combination with the lower diffs. Cruises back like stock on the highway... no more 3100RPM at 65mph on the GBR 4.43R/P
Woohoo!

Now my tach reads zero, my stock speedo is still way off, and I'm getting a VSS fault code (code 68) on the 14cux display with an occasional stall.

All was hunky dory for most of the day though.

Looks great Chris! Includes a couple of the things I have on my project list as well...

Would you mind sharing which pedal lock you are using there? I have been looking for one for use with my softtop - most are from the UK, but have not come across that one yet...

Thanks!

Installed newer style clutch pedal. Had to POR-15 where the old one came out from some overflow of brake fluid over the years.

What a difference.

I ended up buying them from.

Defender Pedal Lock - 4x4overlander

I was guying the door strikers also so I figured I couldn't find them anywhere else.

Nakatanenga Tire Carrier

Chris,
How do you like the Nakatanenga Tire Carrier? Mind posting a couple more pictures of it in action?

So I forgot to stop at the gas station and ran out right outside my house. 15 gallons later all is good.
Interesting the first time a gas pump shuts off is at 11 or so gallons. A little patience gets the last four in.

Drove it to work and back in 96 degree heat (108 heat index) like everyday. Took delivery of a few parts from Paddock to put on in future: front rotors and pads, clutch master, gasket for plate covering LT230 and a few other odds and ends that are cheap and easy to do...

Removed, refinished and replaced hinges with stainless hardware - took a blow torch and lots of patience.

Results were noninstant gratification.

Transmission can in, so I dripped it off at the shop, I've done this before on other trucks and elected to pay for it this time. Ashcroft r380 w/ HD bearings, clutch, slave, and an SDO dorman master kit. Hopefully bulletproof. Also new Ashcroft HD axles and CV's. And I did a little rust repair/prevention on the AT trailer. I still need to redo the seal and the final adjust the latches to keep water out.
The nice unexpected thing was that the cutting board is mounted with Velcro which makes it easy.
