Quick fix till you find them. Cut some garden hose or what have you and stuff it in and put the hood in and your good for the time being.

Small stuff. Replaced the 6" Stanadyne fuel filter and the air filter. Cleaned out the sedimentor and tightened up the rocker cover to spec which was a bit loose and leaking oil.

Sorry to hear that the tranny has let go... it was an Ashcroft replacement due to blowing reverse gear.

Ordered New lock barrels for the 110 after discovering anything that would fit in the lock would open the door.
Sadly some sh1t also discovered this fact last night and stole the CD/radio & my gloves. <what'll happen if I find out whodunit

Also stripped the door down to find out the barrels I purchased first off wouldn't fit.
MUC4146 is what was needed
The driver's door is now beautifully Waxoyled internally.

No problem mike, we'll have it all fixed in a jiff

Do you know how about how many miles were on the thing before the truck made it over here? I'm contemplating whether or not to replace with another Ashcroft reman LT77 or go with a Stumpy R380.

The Ashcroft box went in at 97000 miles March '06. I stopped using the truck 2008 and the majority of those miles were road miles because the 110 was having a rebuild.
It's out of warranty!
I'd probably go for he stumpy R380. I think you can run an oil cooler with them.

Installed Lucky 8's (Allmakes) STC53161 headlamp guards. The crush nut tool & system leaves much to be desired. Busted the 1st metric allen bolt, stripped out the 1 extra nut they gave me ... had to buy more, but the guards are on and the crush-nuts are all tight & in place.

When I was putting on the Intercooler this weekend, I noticed oil leaking out of the rear of the rocker cover. I pulled the rocker off and replaced the gasket, retourqued to 7 lbs. Also installed a Blue Sea dual USB charger instead of the cigarette lighter(kids will wear this out)...

Finally got tdi running today. Engine swap, fixed rusty battery box, added blue sea fuse box, Robert Davis sedimenter, 12V pump. A few kinks to work out but looks like all systems are good.

Decided to service the LR3 this weekend and ended up flushing the brakes on the d90 "while I was at it". Temperature was WAY too low!

That's awesome man... I remember that 2.25 in your truck lumbered along slower than my 2.5! Did you take photos/notes of the swap? You going to do a write up?

Nope, 1016. I installed without the rectangular bezel in a td5 center dash. Perfect fit/function.

This should be a great improvement.

No notes really and just a couple of photos. It's a Defender 200tdi so it was about as straightforward as it gets. I had never done anything like this before so it was a big deal for me. This page was a big help along the way. http://www.glencoyne.co.uk/tdiguide.htm
