Pulled the head today to correct a mistake I made going with a metal OE gasket. The port looks wrong to me and the physical location on the gasket was wrong causing the oil to creep between the layers.

I was seeing 13-14 max before, and the gauge only goes to 15. Easily boosts past that , but can be tempered by a lift off the throttle. Turned the starwheel CW back to where I started, but still have plenty of boost. I like the rollin' coal, sort of wards people off ....
Still, Motorweek is coming out to drive it for an upcoming segment, and I don't want it grenading.....

^^^Yep - what he said^^^ - SDO is an awesome place to get real quality gear

I think the wheel is 14" (350mm) - it feels lovely, fully wrapped leather - yes it is Overfinch it is PERFECT for the truck IMO - perfect size, the one I had before (standard) is too big, and my knees hit it - now I cant drive with my knees, so it makes it difficult to drink a coffee and text while driving, I guess I have to use my elboys now

Phillip only drives his truck to Uwharrie once, maybe twice a year....hence the "annual" oil change.

I do the same on my Hunter.
One oil change a year; usually 1000-2000 miles on it.

Craig, that dash is sexy. Did you do the VooDOO gauges? If so, did you save the old sender for the old H2O temp gauge by any chance?

What have you done to your Defender today.

Replaced a bad door latch, placed a new striker and replaced the door lock guide thingy. Door stays closed now! When I was done, my headlight/electrical issues came back...grrrrr. Has to be a loose connection somewhere. Back to square one.

No bloody knuckles today

Replaced a 30a fuse for the front fogs

Removed the spare from the hood

Paired the phone to the radio via Bluetooth

Think I might be worn out
