This was on my 2.5na, the pump started to leak a bit so I replaced it, and I couldn't understand why one was deeper than the other, until I saw all the groove on the casing.

Electroplated some parts that hadn't seen attention since my rebuild.

Note that the barb of the breather fitting is copper brazed.

Put some green stuff on the roof and the blindet rear doors.



You need to blind the rear doors and some other duties to become the truck taxed like it is.
Truck tax is 172€ vs. 864€ car tax. For the same vehicle.
Don't ask me why.
It's way complicate!
But it works.
Sometimes.
Depending of the tax master, I guess.

Exhaust pulled today to replace the y-pipe with a magnaflow one. 2 studs broke so now that project ...

Same thing happened to me. From there...without a lift...I opted to raise the white flag and took it to a muffler shop for the ypipe install. Cost was about $70 if I remember correctly.

I installed the the rest (cat back) when I got home. I couldn't get my flanges to close up completely. Easy to snap a bolt there too...when you're trying to snug those up.

I removed the exhaust manifold and got 2 out of the 3 studs out, the one I was doing because it looked a little stripped is the one I'm stuck on.
One more try tomorrow then I may bail out too.

Derek has a manifold he's bringing by tomorrow, so one way or the other I guess it will move forward, thanks I just may do it. One stud away from the install part of the task

Well my original head has finally decided its had enough of me, so instead of fixing it i installed an AMC head from turner engineering..

Good choice with the head from Turner. Over the last year, I have seen 5 of the Td5's imported here have issues with a cracked head. My local shop has been using Turner to supply the replacements, and have been very happy with the results.

Knock on wood, I have been trouble free so far with mine, but in the back of my head, I know it's coming. I'm at 112,000 km... it's inevitable...

Finally got around to installing one my farewell gets from Afghanistan into the truck.
A couple Truck Lite 12v LED Headlights. Will properly redo the wiring in a couple weeks when the bullet connectors and H4 male plug all arrive

Polybush kit showed up today, not just the standard kit though. YRM is now selling Polybush kits with A4-80S Stainless hardware. I was just about order the standard dynamic bush set for the truck, and also put in a set of cranked trailing arms, then noticed YRM now had these kits. No brainer to go for the stainless set up, all going in tomorrow.

All my business are pretty worn, clunking a lot. Plus with putting on the cranked arms, it's just time to do them all.

Reset timing from 15 back to 5... Sounds and feels better.. (No I did not set it at 15)
No cel on a short drive and longer idle (usually where the cel would occur)
Crossing fingers... Moving it back to DD status and sell the heep

Put in a manual boost controller. Set it at 14psi. Seems to spool quicker all the way up to 14. Previously the wastegate was starting to open at 7-9 psi slowing spool up. Next I will ditch the two "mufflers" and go 2.5 straight through.

I installed one on my 19J...much better then the old actuator....have mine set at 10 psi right now...prob could go a few psi more...
