Removed failed alternator in prep for the replacement coming via UPS tomorrow. Since I had the intercooler plumbing out I changed my starter out too. I don't wish that repair on anybody with a LHD 200tdi. Old starter was intermittently sticking, plan to rebuild and keep as a spare.

Agreed. I think I can drop a LHD 200TDi starter and replace one in 30 minutes... wait I have. I thought I had a bad starter dropped it, replaced it (2hours) didn't fix it. Pulled new starter to ground test it... worked reinstalled. think I did it two more times before I discovered a burnt terminal at the ignition switch.

What do you mean? He's got a ton more clearance with the garage door. But I like the low rider wheels though.

Door is all the way up, that is the weather strip on the door frame, I have some smaller wheels/tires but would like to use garage long term, I think I can get .5 inch without the weather strip/trim and once I get the rest of the mods done (weight) it will just fit.. more to follow

Replaced the sliders on the 130 with the tree sliders....then discovered (remembered) that the earlier trucks the outriggers were ~1" shorter - dammit! Put some temp washers/spacers in there, and will have some tube cut to proper dimensions to give me a more proper fit (though admittedly this truck is mall-cruiser only, so the only function is to keep the idiots on the beltway and parking lots from bashing up my truck).

I pity the next fool in a Prius that tries to cut me off!

Which...by the way...seems to literally happen every other day. Do they not see the 205" long Land Rover 127 in Fire-Engine-Red?
