Very nice! Always liked the look of an ARB rack on a Defender.

I made a new front diff guard from 1/4" plate for my Disco. Not a defender, but it will end up on my defender eventually.

Ready to do the same...have Puma front doors and just got a new rear door from ST in the UK...also new hinge sets and bolts...can't wait to put it together...Question...how does the rear lock attach to the power door lock actuator? Did it require a Puma lock? I plan on putting power locks and windows in...

Over a couple months I had everything collected from various places ALL over the UK, packaged up and freighted to Vancouver. First piece went on today. Had the rear door painted, tinted the glass, opened up my bag of stainless Stig hinge bolts and put it all on.

Great feeling of satisfaction to have finally started replacing these doors. Rear swing away carrier and drop hitch is already on order from JSQ.

The other doors will probably wait until next spring, along with tearing off the capping and getting it galvanized, and a full paint renew. Puma rear seats will be this summer after my YRM order arrives with the rear upstand kit.

Finally finished the install of the big intercooler, new turbo and 3" exhaust. On my regular drive home (~750ft in elevation gain in 6 mi of highway), I was able to drive 10-15 mph faster with EGT ~350F lower. I'm super psyched about it.

I have the SWAG Offroad press brake with an air over hydraulic cylinder. Easy bending.

Gots my flywheel turned yesterday. Cool shop in Purceville VA. I happened to roll in at the right time too. As I walked in the door one of the mechanics was walking in to the lobby area from the shop and says...want to wait for it? I said sure I'd love to. 15 mins later I was backing out and thinking ribs for lunch. Winning!

Those of you following my no start travails will be saddened to hear that after a week of no use it failed to start first thing today. Left it (strong gas smell) for a few hours and tried again. Feeble attempt with just one or two moments when it lit up.
Changed dizzy cap from temporary recycled black one to new blue one (yes I know) and it started after 4-5 seconds. Stalled then immediately restarted
I going to pull plugs later and replace them.

Replaced the steering box which had some play that could not be adjusted out, and replaced the headlights with LED units...can't wait to see the pattern at night..next will be to swap out the rest of the lights to LED...

BTW...is there any value in the old steering box?

You can sale your old box to a rebuilder small or large. Meridian might need cores and offer a price.

Removed failed alternator in prep for the replacement coming via UPS tomorrow. Since I had the intercooler plumbing out I changed my starter out too. I don't wish that repair on anybody with a LHD 200tdi. Old starter was intermittently sticking, plan to rebuild and keep as a spare.

Agreed. I think I can drop a LHD 200TDi starter and replace one in 30 minutes... wait I have. I thought I had a bad starter dropped it, replaced it (2hours) didn't fix it. Pulled new starter to ground test it... worked reinstalled. think I did it two more times before I discovered a burnt terminal at the ignition switch.
