Thats not a new story for them, they have been saying that for 3 years. They played the "It will get shipped tomorrow" game for 3 weeks with me on a part the was supposed to have on the shelf, then didn't, then did again, then didn't. I finally canceled the order and got what I wanted from GBR in my hands the next day.

I really love a bunch of the stuff they make and continue to use multiple products of theirs on my trucks but its a shame that most of the time, the only way you can dependably get it though, is if someone is selling it here or on eBay.

I have delt with Mary a bunch. they are very slow and always send out the wrong shit.. But she always fixes all my orders for me.. You have to call her direct and speak to her.

"Thanks for the info.. When I'm ready for some wider tires I'll give Pro Comp a call and see if they'll sell me them directly.. Anyone know anywhere else to get some 16x8 or 16x10 inch rims?"

I am a big fan of the guys over at Trekoutfitters. They have sent me two sets of wheels. The prices are good and they came in Procomp boxes, if that means anything. They have a big assorment of sizes, and the owner, Tina, is truely a sweetheart.

Oh, and the last ones she sent were custom backspaced specifically for me with the the wheel reversed, and she did it for the same price as standard.

True. But unlike my normal self I am not going to be an ass, this time The SG guys are extremely nice and do mostly good work. But... you all should keep in mind that this is essentially a husband-wife run hobby business. Really, they are just a couple nice people who haven't quite mastered the quickbooks software. I hope not, but I think poor customer service will always be part of the SG experience. So, if you like their stuff, and you want to get it for Christmas, order now.

And tell them what? You didn't get your shock mounts in time and they cancelled your order when asked? Lets not over-react people.

Now hold on Christine. I've dealt with SG for years now, I don't think I've ever been surprised by an early delivery of product, but it always gets here and I've always been happy with their products.

This is not a huge enterprise, but a handful of folks trying to get products out the door relying on employees, suppliers, powdercoaters, shippers, etc.

If you want to get your stuff, order early and call Greg, Brandi, Mary from time to time and check in ... and like your Mama always said, you'll catch more flies with honey than you will with vinegar.

I'm speechless on so many levels about that comment. I think I am going to just step away from the keyboard, toss a clean shirt on and go to a Country bar.

They have been building wheels for many years for dirt track cars.

Don, i have some GCR wheel on my Disco and i am in SLC if you want to check them out.
GCR has been great w/ me in the past. I have nighmare stories regarding Safar gard too...

another day, another promise. lets see how this pans out. now, we are 'just waiting on the truck to pick it up'. strange, that i was assured delivery in plenty of time for the winter romp. now, i am being told that we will have to depend on the freight company. way to pass the buck SG. i really dont care if it is a mom and pop business or not. i was promised a product, payed handsomly for it, and did not recieve it. oh well, as long as everyone on here is willing to make excuses for them i will have to accept that inept service is just the status quo over there.

Greg and Brandy. If they are not married it's news to me, they have two kids together, and live together, and run the business together.

Ok for some reason I thought they never tied the knot... Not that it matters and not that I care.

I have never ordered from them, but have tried contacting them on a part once. Mary called me back and told me Greg would get back to me... that was almost 2 years ago. Essentially the only reason they are still in business is because they make a unique looking front bumper and the front 3-link. If someone like RoverTym, Rockware or Rover Tracks were step up and start making 3-links I don't see how SG could stay in business. Customer loyalty will only get you so far so long. I own a business where we make our goods, if we ship late or ignore our customers, they move on. From my experience, customer service is one of the most important aspects to a business. Just think how you feel now, would you order from them again? From the way you make it sound... probably not.
Anyway enough ranting from me, just my 2 cents.

i couldnt agree more. this is my first experience with them and i like to give folks the benefit of the doubt. customer service in our industry is critical also. it is not as if the land rover accesory market is saturated but there are alternatives. i admit, there are some products that SG manufacture that intrigue/interest me. despite that, i cant see myself ordering anything else from there. anyway - enough of my ranting!

Their lieing just ruined my weekend. I was supposed to make a trip down to Pismo Beach this weekend, but I need a front driveline to do so. I ordered one through Mary a week and a half ago. She told me at latest I would recieve it this past Monday, the 6th. I even asked about over night shipping to get it to me, but she said not to worry, she`d take care of it and I would have it by the 6th. It just shipped yesterday. I took 4 days off from work for nothing, and as a college kid, losing those 4 work days worth of pay hurts like hell

I was surprised as hell.... Mary called me a good dozen times this morning, leaving 3 messages. She called to apologize for the delay, and offered me compensation. While I am pretty annoyed about not having my truck on the road in time to make this trip, that was pretty legit of her. I appreciate the fact that they at least recognize something went wrong, let alone that they were nice enough to make it up to me
