War has been declared!

The first battle is yet to be fought

Skirmishes and probing actions have established the line

Now let the war begin

Decided there were too many things wrong (hazards, indicators, fog, horn, wipers, interior lights ??) that I needed to start at the dash.

I was cussing myself for peeling back too many layers but tonight I feel vindicated after starting to pull the lower dash.

Found what I thought was an exposed ground wire was a blue wire (headlamps work so someone must have found a way around it) that burned into several others in the loom in a few spots.

No telling where this might end but so much for that 15 day one trip inspection tag. Now in it for the long haul and taking no prisoners

I feel more confident in defeating my 110 wiring than I do the mosquitoes though - they're testing my resolve. Unbearable this year

In Nevada we'd blame rodents. That's why, away from the city, you often see vehicles with they're hoods up. The little vermin hate daylight in they're potential nests.

Well I finally found the short; heater control earth was fried from the lever post all the way back to the pick up.

No idea what caused it; the control cable (temp control) to the heater was disconnected as well.

Looks like it didn't burn anything else so instead of replacing the harness I will just rewire; looks like the PO wired around it but with two or three other random items he added I'm going to try to get it back to stock if possible.

One down, many more to go....
