Nice one, Clay.
Your story is a new one for me.
Others have told me similar bad stories.
It's a shame because it could really be a useful service.

I eventually put the Blitz iphone/ipod dock in my D2.

Roverville

Over the years I have sent a half a dozen radios to Roverville. All have worked out great. I had a adapter for my iPhone installed a year ago. Fast turnaround and explained the process and problem to me each time. Very Happy.

I'm liking this option. Close to the stock look IMO http://www.heavydutyradios.com/jhd_1630.html

We did the roverville jack mod to my wife's D2 radio and had a great experience with them.

I've been thinking about the Jensen HD line as well. I like the basic rudimentary design, but have no idea about the sound quality.

you are going to play music in an uninsulated metal box with more rattles and noises ... and you are concerned about sound quality ... LOL

Ha! Who says I'm uninsulated? In all seriousness, that is a fair point. Perhaps we should just assume that the acoustics stink and that sound quality is irrelevant and choose a stereo on aesthetics.
