Viscous Fan Coupling 200/300Tdi

Will the viscous coupling for a 300Tdi work in place of one meant for a 200Tdi?

ERR2266 for the 300Tdi
ETC7238 for the 200Tdi

Their design seems a bit different, but there may only be 300 versions available locally.
I had originally ordered the correct 200Tdi part, but it seems to be lost in the mail.

Hoping to leave Friday afternoon for a trip that may involve slow hot ascents.

Will the 300Tdi part fit, and do the correct job? (Plan to sell it as used when the correct 200Tdi part arrives, or keep as spare)

I just looked at mine last week, but did not compare them. If you had the correct fan for it I'm sure it would work. I could send you my 200tdi setup (don't need it here) but unless you do $$$ overnight you won't have it in time.

You could drill through the clutch and put some bolts through it to ensure the fan is spinning.

I just installed a new fan clutch on my 300tdi and was surprised when the fan kicked in. I don't think it has ever worked in the 4 years I've been running the engine. Fortunately I didn't need it...
