Venting both hood scoops

Any down side to venting both hood scoops? Does it help cool the engine a touch better?

Thanks

The light from the headlight will come through the one not on the heater side.

Really? Never would of thought of that. What about water getting into the engine bay? Would the extra air flow make it worth it?

No reason at all not to do it and it might help a bit. Would collect some snow but probably wouldn't cause any issues.

My truck is set up with vents on both wings and I have not had any issues with water (other than when I pressure washed my truck!) but also cannot say whether the extra air flow helps or not. I know that I have been wheeling in 95+ degree weather and she held a steady temp all day.

The light coming through does look a little funky though!
