Vent Seals

Guys,

I'm in need of some directions? Looking to replace vent seals. In the Custom Mods section there's a thread on what/how to replace but it appears that NR doesn't sale Part # MUC 4299.

Question; What other alternatives are there?

I just do not want the foam seals, rather have rubber just like the thread in Custom Mods. Any ideas on where to find?

did it over this past winter. went with the rubber series gaskets as replacements. Got mine from rovers down south. great improvement over the foam ones. I had a little difficulty getting them in place, turns out silicone is not a good idea. went to an auto body supply shop and got the 3m stuff they use to set windshields and it is awesome. set really fast. they are a great fit, great seal, and a huge improvement over the originals.

Thanks Guys...

Forgot about checking Rovers Down South. Just checked, $20 per seal, not bad, could be the cheapest fix yet (cost wise).

Do you have to remove the vent flaps in order to replace the seals or did you replace them with the vents in place?

You can replace them with the vent on

You either remove the screw off the back or easiest take the pin of the bulkhead, slide the rubber over it, replace pin, then apply bonding material of choice , let it sit for a few, then close the vent
