VDO gauge bulb type or part no

Trying to find the part no/ bulb type for the bulb in my vdo tach part no 333-158. It's the 2 1/16 gauge. I have searched all over the VDO site and Egauges and cant find it.

I'm pretty sure they are just regular wedge bulbs you can get at any auto parts store.

Yes. 194 bulbs. Common as dirt.

I am trying to get the "light diffuser" green cover thing. Talked with EGauges and told them what I needed and they sent me the larger size which wont work. Annoying.

You can always get green LED lights and not worry about the little rubber bulb condoms.

Ya its not 194. Those are the size for the speedo. For smaller size gauges like fuel, tach, temp it is much smaller. Maybe half the size or less.

It's a 158 bulb. I just pulled one out of a brand new VDO oil pressure gauge.

So I got around to pulling the actual bulb and looking and in my VDO tach size 2 1/16 this the corresponding bulb type according to VDO. https://www.vdo-gauges.com/accessori...2w-4-pack.html

Just wanted it here for posterity or anyone who searches in the future.

FWIW I recently installed VDO vision boost, fuel, temp, and speedometer. I used these LED bulbs for all 4 gauges. Green LED wedge bulbs, 194 type. I am pretty sure 158, 168, and 194 are the same style just different wattage.

I think what Bill is saying is the tach he has uses the smaller "VDO Type D" bulb, which is a weird size. "Type E" is the normal 158/168/194 size.

Ya mine is the Vision Black series and are about 3 years old. The only one that uses the Type E (158/168/194) in my cluster is the Speedo (which uses 2) The others all use this smaller bulb, so Tach, Fuel and Temp. I had the Tach out adjusting it and in the process I tore the little bulb condom some how and wanted to get replacements because right now without it I have 3 green gauges and 1 white one at night.
