If it's leaking on the backside of the wheel over a prolonged period you're going to get fluid that eats the brake caliper's seals and then you're going to have more issues than just replacing the seal....
(as I found out on my previous D1).

Depends how much grease has been slung out of the bearings. Don't want them getting hot.
