Arbi, do you happen to have a land rover part number for that hazard flasher? And is there a separate flasher for the normal turn signals?

Thanks!

Matt

Is it common for the relays to go bad? My signals just stopped working. Fuse still intact.

Anybody? Neither my hazards nor my turn signals work. I know they are separate fuses and relays so why would they both fail? Any info before I go buy both relays would help.

It is probably the hazard switch. jiggle it and push it a couple times and see if it starts working again.

Will do. Thanks Ron.

What are the two purple wires that come out of the bundle of wires behind the flasher relay? Mine arent connected to anything.

Purple is usually interior lighting (among other things) but I am not familiar with those two wires in particular.

bumping this thread.

on my drive back from Crazy Ray's today I lost turn signals (hazards dont work either).

Checked all fuses (don't know how to tell if a flasher is bad unless i just swap it out)
Jiggled the hazard switch, no dice.

I took the plastic upper/lower cover off of the steering column (after noticing that it moves a bit more than it should when I used the stalk (wiper and turn). The bottom screw was missing and I saw that the plastic "collar" that holds it around the actual column is broken... Coincidence?

Advice?

no ideas? I'm going to swap out the flasher this week and see if that fixes it.

I had the same problem - my advice is keep jiggling the hazard switch. I pushed it in/out a bunch. eventually I got it to sit in just the right position and everything worked again. Everything has worked perfectly and its been 8 months since the signals/hazards acted up. Didn't have to replace anything.

NAPA or Autozone/Advanced Auto should have it. I don't have the part number, but I can check later. That is what I put in the truck. $15 compared to genuine $50 one. Its basically a heavy duty flasher realy for imports IIRC.

Anybody have a part number for the flasher? I'm @ autozone and they don't have any idea where to look...

sorry for the addt'l bump

Here's the closest thing that 3 different parts stores had...

The 4 pins that are the same line up, its the 5th one that is the concern. I was thinking about just breaking it off and trying it out.

Thoughts?
