Bill, I've got a rebuilt disco 200 turbo that I need to get rid of if you are interested. Only a few thousand miles on it before I changed my turbo setup for a LHD conversion.

Thanks. I just got mine apart to look at it this evening and it's just fine. Gonna put it back together and go with it.
What are you looking to get for the one you have, just for curiosity's sale? Always good to have a spare.

I'd just get it from a local turbo shop. I can't remember the name of the place I dealt with, some place between DC and Balt. They were also a CAV shop. Been way too many years.
You never know when you might need some work done.

I think I paid around $450 to have it rebuilt by turbochhargers.com in Houston. I was thinking $300 would be reasonable. Like I said, put very few miles on it after the rebuild. PM if your interested.

forgot to mention, make sure to check the condition of the interior cast iron around where the wastegate valve sits.

This is a really common place for the housing to crack from the inside and not be visible from the exterior.

My perfect turbo with no play (read POS turbo that was blowing oil and needed replacement) that i got with my truck had this area cracked.

check this pic to see the are I mean

Bill,
That engine was a strong runner. No smoke, good acceleration.

Ya I pulled the valve cover off to see how gunky it was inside and it's clean as a whistle. You can see where someone marked parts with a felt marker pen, so it has been taken care of.
I'm just gonna detail the engine a little and use it as is.
