tuffy console in a 110

Hi all, I'm considering a tuffy cubby box to secure my stereo and provide somewhere other than between my legs to hold by coffee. I see the Tuffy boxes are 24" deep including the cup holder and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this unit installed? by my tape measure, 24" back from the diff lock lever puts it somewhere hanging out past the back of the front seats and I can already hear my kids crying as they rip their shins getting into the back seat. Any install pics or experience with this would be great.

Thanks

It fits fine in a ROW 110 from the back of the seatbox, without hanging over. It does not protrude over the front either. However, the cup holders do not fit without impeding the shift lever, at least on an LT77. You will still have to hold your coffee between your legs.

Thanks guys, looks like the issue is that the differential lock lever and shift lever are way further back on mine. LT77 and LT230. The tunnel mounted or fuse box mounted cup holders look like they are pretty useless. I'd be curious to know if anyone here has this transmission setup AND a cup holder AND a secure stereo compartment in the cubby box?

I just installed the Tuffy box in my 110- AB had a free shipping deal so I jumped on it. 24" deep is a big deal, or at least started out that way- I too was concerned with the box protruding into the rear middle seat area, but figured I am in the 110 alone most of the time..... only my two youngest boys are still at home, so they just grab the window seats anyway. Just having two cupholders is worth the price of admission IMHO.... they are great to have as I got tired of driving RHD, shifting, and trying not to spill hot coffee..... I might add some padding around the corners if I can find something that looks good. I did drill new holes to make it fit where I wanted vs the factory punched holes....

The install kit with it's 1 inch block spacers is very wimpy, so I used a 15in. piece of scrap 1in square tubing to raise the rear of the box over the seatbox frame ( if that is the proper name for it?>). I took out the existing/worthless middle seat, and used the same holes to mount the Tuffy box. I got the one w/o the secure stereo compartment, so with the Tuffy cubby, and the two underseat cubbies, I'm starting to have storage space to the stuff/tools/spares I like to carry.

Several 911s.....

Tuffy is just up the road a bit from here in Cortez, Co- I wonder if they have factory deals if you go up there and get them?....... now , to find something that will fit the rear fender well dead spaces, w/o having to import something from the UK, or break out my welders for a DIY.....

Tuffy makes the box in 2 widths 12- 1/2" (PART 017) and the 10 "(PART 033). The smaller one gives you a lot more seat room for both the passanger a driver. Something to consider.

I have had both in my Defender. If you actually wheel, you will want the 10" version, unless you enjoy slamming your ribs into a sharp metal corner, and it is just a nicer fit in general in the cab.
