transfer case reseal HELP!

I just had my '94 d-90 at the dealership because of a leaking transfer case, they said I needed to do all the seals in there. $84 bucks for the parts. $1300 for the labor!

I was wandering if there was anyone in the vicinity of Erie, CO that would be able to help me with doing this job one of these weekends. i would like to do it myself, but have no confidence in doing it without a little guidance.

thanks!

If you get me a plane ticket I'll come help...anything to get back to CO! haha

Seriously though, it isn't too hard, but is easiest with two people to help line everything up when you put the two halves back together. The input and output seals are a piece of cake too. I'm sure you can find someone out there that would be willing to help you out. The hardest part will be taking the t-case out if you don't have a lift, but it probably still won't be that big of a deal.

Buy used T-case, replace input seal, put in used t-case, sell leaking t-case.

The dealers just seal them with right stuff. All you really need are the input and two output seals. The case half you can just use the right stuff. The other areas don't generally leak, but if the large square access panel is leaking you can seal that with right stuff as well.
