transfer case broken wire mystery

I have a new to me 1984 90 RHD with 200tdi, LT77 and LT 230.
After addressing a transfer case seal issue I found a wire that apparently went to a brass-looking bolt on the transfer case, about 3 inches aft from the diff select lever (on the case). It is a blue wire with a white tracer. It also has a black wire going to the bolt. It is a real pain to access. Anybody know what it is for? I can't seem to find a wiring diagram that shows it. A good lead for that too would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Off the cuff I would say its for the dash light to let you know that you have your center diff engaged.

Looking at the wiring diagram, looks like it's the Center Diff Lock indicator switch.

Look at the "Instruments" page of the wiring diagrams, middle of the page on the right. It lights up when the center diff lock is actually engaged.

Coloured wire is to the indicator light - diff lock engaged and the black is the earth wire.
