Transfer box linkage acess

I need to reconnect the Hi-Lo linkage on a 97 D-90. My hands and arms do not fit into the space available from beneath the vehicle. Will pulling the tunnel from inside the car provide good acess?
I'm working in a condo parking lot and maint is prohibited, so dropping the tranny/xfer case is not an option. (I did use the search function to no avail)

Yes - you may also want to remove the passenger side floor.

I was able to sit behind the t-case on the floor with the rear shaft removed. Reconnected everything no problem
