Yes, that's just the way Uhauls are set up.

You could try backing the 90 onto the trailer and see if that puts more engine weight over the 2 axles.

That's what I'd do, but I have my own straps.
The Uhaul straps are fixed to the very front and you cant move the vehicle backward.
