tow hitch warning light

Hello ... My hitch light went on a few days ago out of nowhere and will not turn off. There is nothing in the hitch. Any ideas on what to do to get it off?

Thank you! Joe

Tdci gauge pod pictured. Thats not a trailer hitch light. Its a light that advises that the light system realizes that it's got additional load, ie more bulbs to flash. You appear to have a lighting short. Any not working ?

Thank you Doug. I did just added some new lights. They all seem to work but there are a lot of lights. The gauge pod appears all of the time even with the lights all off.

Something is wrong if that light is on all the time. What kind of lights ? Leds usually require a different flasher relay because they have a totally different load requirement. If led's I'd start with getting the correct flasher relay for led's before hunting down anything else.

The LEDs are to blame. If you want to use LED turn signals you need to change the flasher.
