I would like to see how this turns out.
Personally, I went up from 4.0L to 4.6L on my D2 and used Roverland engine.
I would get this done locally and have Frida from Turner speak to the shop or send you the correct bore spec if I was going to have milled the block.
If I was doing the project again, I would just buy the premilled short block and call it done and not worry about possibility of all the other headache.
I thought I was saving money when I went with Roverland and the saving was rather minimal looking at it long term.
