Thanks for all the info. I decided to leave it as is, and just drive it for a while, if I have a bunch of money (and time) burning a hole in my pocket, I can always worry about it later.

The truck has an R380 manual box in it. My friend (who has been driving it) says that 5th is somewhat useless, so I suspect the transfer box is too tall a ratio. I'm working on putting in a 1.4 before it comes over.

Meatblanket, I do have room in the container, PM me if you want to sort something out. I'm happy to piggyback something else on the ride in return for a little help on the cost of the container.

I was goin to put a seperate post about this but it fits here.

I just finished a rebuild on my 200tdi and put about 1500 miles on it. in that span of time, drivingreguraly with 235/85 tires and a 1.2 Tcase im getting exactly 30MPG a 110 truck cab.

It is awesome, but has nowhere near thepowerof a v8 or a 1.4 300tdi
