Tires

Since it's been a while since I have seen a post about tires, I thought I
would open the flood. I am currently running 285/75/16 Super Swamper SSR's
on stock rims with wheel spacers all around for the Stage II suspension.
They now have about 29,000 miles on them so it's about time to trade them in
for a new pair. My question to the masses is what tires are now seen as the
best overall tire? I am now in a full time job in Indianapolis where
off-roading has become a very distant hobby if I can ever find the time.
However, the truck is now a secondary car for me. I would like to stay with
the same size because i do not want to mess with any more pieces of my
truck, nor can the wallet take any more punishment. How are the Goodyear
MT/R's compared to the Super Swampers? One problem is that I really like the
aggressive look of the Super Swampers on the truck so I am afraid to change
back over to a more road worthy tire like a BFG A/T.

Any thoughts / suggestions?

Thanks,
Matt

Goodyear MT/Rs have much better road manners than the Swamper and last longer too. Off Road they are decent but don't do mud as well as the Swampers. The looks are nicely aggressive too.

I have 35/12.50/15s on the 109 and have been well impressed with them.

If it's a second car I say stay with the SSRs.

I currently have the 33x12.5x16 SSRs on the stock suspension - would highly prefer the ATs for my 90% road and 10% desert driving, but hey, to eah his own...

My recommendation is to go with he IROKs in the 33" flavor (are they out yet in the US?)...man these tires do wonder on my Disco and they just propel like crazy...outperforms anything else out there!
