tire size for Kahn 18" wheels

Any recommendations? I'm looking at 285/65/18. Has anyone run these? I'm trying to stay fairly close to 33" as any bigger drains too much power from the motor and impacts drivability more than I'm willing to sacrifice for off road prowess.

Thanks
Mit
PS And I'll have 5 stock Defender wheels in great shape available fairly soon.

They are probably close to a 32" and 11.5" wide so you should be good.

Bill,

They are regular I guess. The wheels that came with the truck originally. I'm in Austin so please advise if you are interested. It would be great to not have to deal with shipping.

Here's a 275/65-18 with a 20mm wheel spacer and stock suspension. Do you know the backspacing on the Kahn wheel? This combo looks great and the added track width really helps with road manners.
